Mario studied in Haiti to obtain 2 years of computer science education, and later went on to get his bachelor’s degree in computer science from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, where he made the Dean’s list, and then continued studying there to get his master’s degree in instructional design and technology in 2010.
Mario speaks English, Haitian Creole, and French, allowing him to communicate proficiently with a wide range of clientele, and has received extensive traditional and on-the-job training relating to the use of computer software and technology. In 2012, he worked as an instructional designer for LINGO’s last mile learning, and then as a multimedia specialist for Consortium ESIH from 2013-2015. During that time, he also worked as a web engineer and E-learning specialist at SMARTMATIC Haiti, developing instructional materials, and controlling all aspects of their learning management system.
With experience as an instructional designer and curriculum specialist, Mario works comfortably and successfully with the development, management and maintenance of online projects and programs and adapts to updates and modifications in the progressive digital world.
